Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 7 am–3 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Pensacola is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Pensacola is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I’m going to give this place a 3 stars based on the entire experience however the coffee itself is a 5/5. We ordered some sandwiches with the bread toasted, cashier jot it down and the bread came out cold. We asked if they could please toast it and the employee who took the sandwich (same person who took the order) made a nasty face. Now, maybe the face was towards the kitchen staff who failed to toast the sandwich or maybe it was against me. Who knows. They brought the sandwich back out and the bread was not toasted. They said this is the best they could do but they literally did nothing to it. We also ordered the sausage hoggie and I don’t recommend ordering it in a bun. Becomes extra soggy especially when they fail to toast it. The only saving grace was the coffee. The latte was spectacular. I’d buy the coffee here and skip everything else. Overall great coffee, disastrous food, ok customer service. Restaurant is nice it’s decor is sort of all over the place but I’d come back to catch up with a friend over some coffee.

My family and I consider this the best coffee in town. The pastries are fantastic too! Honestly this is the ideal sit-in coffee experience that features local art and pottery; it creates a nice local aesthetic feel! :) highly recommended

Since we have family in Pensacola, my wife had visited this coffee shop before I had the chance. She was excited for me to try it, and now I understand why. If you’ve read my other reviews, you know that I enjoy visiting coffee shops to relax, unwind, and enjoy a well-crafted cup of coffee. This is easily one of the best coffee shops I’ve visited in recent years. The coffee is excellent—rich in flavor, high in quality, and expertly roasted. The beans are not over-roasted, allowing their natural character to shine through. One thing I found especially unique was their homemade syrups. While I often prefer my coffee without syrup, I decided to try it both ways because of the care they put into making them. The syrup was outstanding and complemented the coffee very well. If you prefer your drinks less sweet, I would recommend asking for a lighter amount of syrup, as mine was on the sweeter side. They also offer a selection of pastries. I’m not sure whether they are made in-house or sourced locally, but the croissant and cinnamon swirl Danish we tried were absolutely delicious. Both were light, flaky, fresh, and paired perfectly with the coffee. Beyond the food and drinks, the shop

So unreasonably expensive!! Although it is a very cute shop, the staff is very friendly and I do enjoy the iced lattes. They have lost their mind with their pricing. $9 for a mini quiche (which literally is 2 bites, max!) $10 for a danish!! Other coffee shops offer a way bigger portion for that pricing. The lattes are delicious but they also seem to all the taste the same? I really can't tell if they are making the same drink and just naming it something else.

If you’re looking for the best coffee shop and the most amazing chocolate chip cookie in Pensacola, Florida, look no further than Alla Prima Coffee Roaster. After having espresso in Rome, the Amalfi Coast, Greece, Switzerland, Iceland, Puerto Rico, and Ethiopia, I know quality when I taste it. I’ve been in Pensacola for seven months now and visited many coffee shops with no luck—until I tasted my first cappuccino at Alla Prima. The moment I took my first sip, I knew I had found the one. It’s hard to describe the smoothness of the coffee and the perfect balance with the dairy. Not everyone knows how to make a cappuccino properly—it’s my go-to drink—and Alla Prima absolutely overdelivers on quality, taste, and creativity. You have to try Charlie’s chocolate chip cookies. Honestly, anything he makes is incredible. He is unbelievably talented. Alla Prima is also the perfect hangout spot. The décor is stylish and cozy, with charming touches like a chess board that invite you to stay awhile. This is where class meets Southern comfort. Go grab the best cup of coffee you’ve ever had at the most fashionable coffee shop in downtown Pensacola.
